For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Re: It begins....
Is this air pump an early LS1 item? My 2004 GTO engine doesn't have one. Just curious, but I will have the evac canister all plumbed up, using a new GM evac canister.

Re: It begins....
It would be much easier to use the Porsche Evap canister than the GM one, to use the GM one you will have to incorporate the tank pressure sensor. The Porsche system would just require providing a vac supply and a purge line to the intake.

In California all emissions must be included. Including all Evaporative emissions on ODB2. Hell on my conversion I had to fit the Chevy evap canister too and my car is odb1.

Same thing with colorado. Now whether the inspector can see the difference between the Porsche evap or not I don't know. I do know I don't want to find out, so all emissions stuff will be moved over...

Progress! Motor has been test fit with the headers and bell housing. Headers and bell housing fit great! The oil pan arrived late today, it'll get test fit tomorrow...

We'll know after the oil pan test fit this morning. If the oil pan fits good We won't need the cross member.
Re: It begins....
what kind of oil pan is it going to be running?

Re: It begins....
F body pullies. If I can fit the MAF and intake where the intercooler used to be I'll have the hood latch removed and run pins. Stock 951 radiator and fans.

let me know if that works. I am trying to figure a way to run my filter in the intercooler spot also.

Re: It begins....
I got rid of the restrictive 90* bend and hood latch. Not sure how the Turbo nose is, but I got a large cone filter under there with 4" flex hose. Swap is looking good. Is Eric going to try that one pan with the modded front I posted. That would be amazing if It is plug'n'play with the Power Rack....

I know TonyG has his intake where the intercooler was, I just don't know if he kept the MAF or not.
Yes, I think that's the pan that we're going to test fit today.

The MAF fits with a large cone no problem. I hope that Pan is the deal....

Re: It begins....
Pan doesn't fit at all! The sump hits the crossmember, the sides hit the rack and the oil out let points right at the headers...

Re: It begins....
How much further does the sump need to be back and how far is the rear driver's head to firewall? The sides are an easy fix. And No pan I've seen has different oil ports, that's a Header issue.

The pan is set up for a remote oil filter, so it has ports.

Re: It begins....
I call B.S. as that sump front lateral plane is right where the Moroso 20140 plane is (centered between #3 and #4 oil pan bolt holes on driver's side)... Maybe you got an RH car with the Crash Dummies.LOL

Re: It begins....
Dude, seriously? Eric has the pan and my car, seems pretty straight forward. Put it on and see if it fits. He's done that and it doesn't.

Re: It begins....
Rear Driver's head to firewall distance?
Also How deep is that QT belhousing. I'm just trying to help. I was joking about the BS comment. I thought you were pulling my leg. I have 1.5" between front sump and my X-member and the front plane is the same between the 2 pans. Maybe these cars are really off in the chassis...

Re: It begins....
What 2 pans are you talking about? I had this one CUSTOM MADE, I screwed up and got the dimensions wrong! That's it.............I'm not afraid to say/type it. Doc knows what is going on with his car. Th QT bell housing fits perfect, No measurements are bad or anything like that, The Doc needed a scatter shield for racing specs, That's what he has. A certificated scatter shield. The Doc's car is in perfect shape. It's one of the best looking cars that I have seen, No wrecks and no under body damage..............
Re: It begins....
I asked earlier if you guys were using The Kevco pan and he replied yes. I'm only interested in that pan as a plug n play over the modded Moroso 20140. Confusion is cleared up. I thought you had recieved the Kevco pan an it didn't fit at all......Custom is a bitch at times, but you can "re-custom" a custom

Re: It begins....
My fault, I misunderstood Eric. I thought the pan we were trying was the Kevco one. BTW, that pan does come with oil inlet/outlet ports for a remote oil filter setup...
