Actually Gregg Distributors is the company I bought them from.. Looking at the Adaptall web page could be a little confusing. I actually think the pages in the Gregg catalog [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] might be easier to figure out. Just type in Adaptall into the search and go to the pages.

Took an M14 x 1.5 x 45 and chopped it down to 27mm length below head

Centerbore with 13/64" (0.203) Drill stepped down to head...

Cross-drilled same diameter at 10mm below head (with crush washer, fluid passage is centered in 944 PS Line banjo fitting....

Does it matter where I put the MAF sensor as long as it goes somewhere between the cone filter and the TB?

That damn belt tensioner is already too close to the expandable air tubing and I want to stick the MAF sensor under the front Valance cover.....

I found this brand new one and bought it since I didn't get one with the engine....

Got my electric seats hooked-up with Du-Pont Breathable upholstery.....
No 2nd degree burns in the summer, and no ass-sicles in the winter either....Lol

Should I wait to install the PCM that is getting reflashed, or will the passenger's seat be in the way?

Why do they need brackets, or they just a backing plate? Tell me more, I was just looking at these myself and wondering on the install........................

The 944 Flag mirror bases would be a nightmare to replicate and add the Tiburon base design (red triangle pattern)

I have dissected the driver's side and have done preliminary drawings for an adapter....What you see there (3/8" thick adapter plate) will mount the disassembled Tiburon base where it rotates to the factory 944 base. I'm going to mill off the 944 base pivot insertion and install a 9/16" dome bolt. The 9/16" bolt can even be drilled and the mirror wires ran thru.

I'm not exactly sure I'm ready to have any Korean part on my car. Maybe in a few years but not yet.

There's a million mirrors out there that there that might work (Miata, for one), but it looks like you can get brand new 968CS mirrors for about $300/shipped through Sunset. That's the route i'm headed...

The mirrors are not only high impact polymer housings with electric adjust and defrost, I chose them because I think they flow with the 944 body and are very aerodynamic. The 944 has curves and straight lines in its body. I looked at some Miata mirrors last year...too round and stubby...I looked at Solstice mirrors....too strange for the 944 body....and 968 Aero mirrors are too rounded IMO, another Porsche afterthought....slap it on from whatever we have on hand....Piss on aesthetics... they'll buy it because it says "Porsche"
I almost bought a set of Nissan Altima mirrors that I thought would look great on the 944, but hit these up for $85 shipped (bay) and they look brand new....
You guys crack me up. I do all the R&D, modding, and post technical dimensions and you need cheese and crackers with your WHINE....

To each his own. I test fitted the driver's side last night to confirm the dimensions I posted..... You can take them to the bank
I am going to get a low profile locknut for the large install stud and trim the rest of the bracket to match the 944 Factory "Flag" base....and this mod is in the books....

The mirror idea is fantastic, I'm excited for people to ask what the heck I've done to "the poor thing".

I've never been a fan of people plastering 944's with Porsche fender decals/logos/window banners etc to remind people that they are driving a Porsche.

I'm excited to run as fast as possible in the opposite direction and slap Korean mirrors on there.

To me it's less about origin brand, and more about function and design quality of individual components. We're putting chevy's into porsches people!

I can not wait to see a glimpse of how these look.

I want to see a picture of this so badly that I'm tempted not to move from this spot till I see one, and that's not healthy. Time to go out to the garage and make room/money. Hopefully there might be a sneak preview posted later in the day... eh.... ehh??? :-D

Pay attention class..... I didn't even have to program the CNC either
I set up a 2x4 x 0.375" flat and traced the drawing directly on the bar using a compass and calipers and used a springloaded centerpunch.... The dimensions in red are 10mm Centers (3/8" drill wont work) because the Tiburon base attachment studs are 10mm. The large Diameter hole I drilled 1/2" ...if you plan on figuring the wiring, you should drill it 9/16" so you can centerbore the bolt for the wire loom to go thru....FYI

The biggest dilemma to the mod is how to not spend 14hrs at the mill/CNC trying to get the 944 flag mirror profile transfered to the Tiburon base....so chop...chop.... keep it simple....
The 944 flag base can be hack-sawed right off and cleaned flat with a belt sander for the adapter plate to sit flat and as low as possible (much lower than if adapting the Tiburon Base Tower).....

Another Forsche problem solver...pics self explanatory.... Took some time to get the bottom washer profile just right to set inside the base and it only cost $0.11.
Start with a 1.25" O.D. and 1/8" thick washer........1/2" ID or (9/16" ID if planning on running wire)

I took it all back apart so I can go to the shop tonight and clean the bracket profile and reinstall with a cap head bolt if I can't find a readlily available dome head with a 1.25" shank...

As you can see in this pic, another reason for the bracket dims is to leave the 944 Flag mirror base-to body set screw unobstructed....

Just curious, can someone measure the factory driver's side mirror angle in relation to the side window?
The donor car mirror on mine was busted out....

I measured my passenger side with a large angle finder to be 48 degrees in relation to the window as the mirror itself is set at 0 degree (Flat, not adjusted in the housing)

I'm 6'2" and my seat sets all the way back, so my mirrors are always adjusted at max angle. But the adapter bracket allows for plenty pivot either way

After bolting on the untrimmed bracket, I just took my angle finder and matched the passenger's side angle +5 degrees....perfect....

Took a black marks-a-lot and coppied the base contour to match....

Simply took it back off and fired up the 4" angle grinder and sanding pad....

Reinstalled with cap nut, I couldn't find a 1/2 x 20 x 1.25 in dome, so I will turn the head down on the lathe if I get bored....

I love it...It sits about 1.25" higer than the flag mirror and has a much better viewing angle and surface, plus it is infinitely adjustable.... No more squinting and blind spot worries.

Should I put the Brain?
I've seen some of you guys put it in the factory battery location. If I turn it on its side and get a compact battery and make it all fit, will rain water be a worry?

PCM, ECM, Delphi Box, whatever the hell you call it....
This car had the ECM removed and connectors hanging in the passenger floor board and some zinc-plated bell shape thing still connected up under there...

The LT1 box is waterproof (Well I wouldn't submerge it), not too sure about the LS computer, but I can't see why they wouldn't make it waterproof. Plus who is crazy enough to drive a v8 944 in the rain anyways.....
