HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Hello all.
I have been reading the forums and never posted. I have an 86 N/a 944. Owned for 3 years. Daily driver.
Just bought an 2000 LS1 with 20,000 miles from Ebay. I also just received a kit from Renegade Hybrids here in Las vegas. I also just ordered headers from texas performance concepts.

Hopefully to start on this build in the next couple weeks. I know I will have questions. lol
Nothing is as easy as it seams. just saying hello and hope to join the community.
Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

You've come to the right place!! Lots of people with diverse background and insight into the conversion process. No question is too dumb - believe me, I've asked a few!!

New guy new build Empty UPDATE

Post  lvkid76 on Tue Apr 26, 2011 1:46 pm

Little update to our progress. Been awhile since I posted. We finally got the motor in after painting the engine bay. Next will be running fuel lines, A/C lines, got Lokar throttle cable, wiring harness, and put the radiator back in.

Bought the CSR thermostat but didnt fit the stock thermostat. Had to do some forum searching and found it takes a small block chevy thermostat. I need to pick one up.
Other than that coming along. Got my Turbo front end along with turbo rear brakes. Still need the front brakes and larger wheels. but coming along. Hopefully 2 more weeks or so. Trying to make as clean as possible.

And how are you going to mount the rad?

I've just had my RH/Ron Davis rad repaired as it sprang some leaks. Both RH and Ron Davis say the rads have to be mounted just right, so that they don't get damaged when the car flexes.

New guy new build Empty radiator

Post  lvkid76 on Thu Apr 28, 2011 9:46 pm

I purchased the renegade radiator set up and also the wiring kit that included the reflash.
The radiator looks really nice. should go in quick. neMed to buy a new condenser. want all new in the car. just bought new radiator coolant tank and brake reservoir tank. new plastic looks much better.

My father and I are only worried about the wiring part. the Harness is nice but does not explain what to do with it. Been reading about which wires go where. I will post of course if we cant figure it out.

If you purchased it from RH, call them. they should explain the wires to you. That's part of the customer service,

New guy new build Empty upate to project

Post  lvkid76 on Sun Nov 04, 2012 7:33 pm

Been awhile. After switching jobs and moving out of Nevada to Utah. Finally started working on project again. Upate
Got exhaust done. installed fuel lines, Oil Lines, Radiator, brakes, clutch. I have the wire harness in and just need to mount ECU and connect the 10 or so wires, need a battery and battery cables. Everything is looking good so far. Have all parts for Turbo front end and got all my parts for big brakes. Hopefully soon now. Should be able to fire up soon.
a Couple pics.
