For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Are these Adapters still available? I will buy one if they are available. Also what are the part numbers that I need to buy to get all the parts for the ford Hydroboost? Thx

In this pic at the very left of it you have some kind of spacer in the line? What is that for? Also what kind of o- ring should I be using with the adapter? Just anything from the parts store?

Re: Ford Hydroboost to Porsche 951 Master Cylinder Adapter
That is a brake line coupling; the original brake line is not long enough so an extra section is required. You can purchase these from most autoparts stores; the line is about 6 inches. No o-rings, it is a flared tube just like the factory.

Re: Ford Hydroboost to Porsche 951 Master Cylinder Adapter
Okay I have a few questions. What size bolts are used to mount the Porsche master to the already threaded adapter? Also, do I need any other bolts? Like from the HB to the adapter?
Secondly, I am running the Wilwood 6R's... And then the Wilwood superlites in the back. Will I be able to get get rid of the proportioning valve? Or do I need to keep that?

Re: Ford Hydroboost to Porsche 951 Master Cylinder Adapter
The threaded holes in the adapter to mount master are 8mmx1.25.
I used 10mmx1.5 allen bolts with a thick washer and lock nut to mount adapter to booster.
Dont remember the legnth of either set of fanteners, but that should be easy to figure out.

So many have everything installed and I'm wondering if you guys are seen a difference in pedal height at all? Do your brakes feel different?

Mine is installed but I haven't had a chance to drive the car yet as more work is still getting completed. Hopefully I get the car back in the next few weeks and I'll report my findings...

Re: Ford Hydroboost to Porsche 951 Master Cylinder Adapter
Sounds like you still have air in the system. Bleed the brakes again, if it's still like that you may need to bench bleed the master cylinder, then rebleed the brakes...

Re: Ford Hydroboost to Porsche 951 Master Cylinder Adapter
Hmmmm. When I bled them just now I did not Depress the brake pedal. I just used the power bleeder. I should probably try to pump the brakes and see if I can get more air out. I'm seriously getting sick of this car. It's always one step forward 2 steps back.

Re: Ford Hydroboost to Porsche 951 Master Cylinder Adapter
Old fashioned two man bleed always works better when you know there's air in the system. I've found the power bleeder works well if you only have to do a typical flush. It doesn't seem to put enough force on the fluid to really push out large amounts of air that you have when you swap MC/calipers/lines etc.

Re: Ford Hydroboost to Porsche 951 Master Cylinder Adapter
It seems as though I had the bolt on the brake arm to tight. Haven't driven it or anything because it's raining out but it actuates and feels way better. I can press the brake to the floor let up and move the car back in forth.
On to the overheat issue...

To reference the bolt question above. All units going out now will come with all the Bolts, Lock Washers and Nuts for installation.
If anyone needs one, we have plenty in stock.

Re: Ford Hydroboost to Porsche 951 Master Cylinder Adapter
Just so everyone knows I have mine up and running at it is way better than the ford master. Love it. Pedal feel is better. Feels like a normal brake. It doesn't come to a screeching halt with just a minor touch anymore.

Lol, I hit my head on the rollbar first time i hit the brakes in the parking lot with it installed with GT3 brakes on the car. Wasn't quite ready for that after being use to the effort required with manual brakes.
Re: Ford Hydroboost to Porsche 951 Master Cylinder Adapter
Can someone with the adapter installed etc post a pic looking from the front to back, to show clearance between HB and the valve cover.

Re: Ford Hydroboost to Porsche 951 Master Cylinder Adapter
Doc, what push rod did you use between the MC and the HB. In the brake clevis post I did, Spence attached some really nice drawings. Is that push rod the one.
Is that what you used as you have the adapter installed for the factory MC. Thank you.
