HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.
Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin
For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Re: Ford Hydroboost to Porsche 951 Master Cylinder Adapter
I just reused the one I already had in there from the mustang MC. Seems to be fine...

Re: Ford Hydroboost to Porsche 951 Master Cylinder Adapter
sorry to bring back an old post but I have been making the parts from the drawings and I don't quite understand how the pedal to HB part works? I've seen people thread the end of the HB and make a bit to go around the pedal but I'm not sure how this bit would work and I don't know If that answer would have been in the 3d pdf file that doesn't seem to work. any pictures of the set up using these bits would not go a miss.

Re: Ford Hydroboost to Porsche 951 Master Cylinder Adapter
Mister T,
Below are pics of the TPC/HB setup that I used. The custom brake pedal clevis has a nut welded in place that threads onto the plunger rod of the HB. The long rod in the pic is the pushrod from the HB to the Master Cylinder. Hopefully this helps.
Note: I failed to pull the HB plunger rod all the way out before installing the unit, so now I need to crawl back under the dash again to remove the brake pedal clevis pin, pull out the plunger "completely," and lock in the push rod at the proper length.
Best of luck!

Re: Ford Hydroboost to Porsche 951 Master Cylinder Adapter
What doesn't show in the pics is that the clevis is hollow at the end where the nut is welded in place. This allows adjustment in the pushrod shaft length. Also note in the pics there is a "jam nut" on the threaded pushrod shaft of the HB unit. The jam nut secures the correct pushrod/clevis overall length.
With the HB unit installed and yourself jammed under the dash, first run the jam nut most of the way back on the pushrod shaft against the HB plunger. Then, simply thread the clevis onto the pushrod shaft until the clevis can be attached to the brake pedal via the clevis pin... be sure the pedal is in its full return position. BE SURE the HB push rod shaft and plunger is fully withdrawn from the HB unit for maximum travel in the brake pedal and the master cylinder.
The clevis pin should fit freely in the brake pedal (not binding) and a drop of synthetic lube should be applied. With the clevis pin in place along with the retainer clip, spin the jam nut against the clevis and tighten using one wrench on the clevis nut and one on the jam nut.
You're done!
