HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Clearance for Tilton master cylinder when using Hydroboost
I ordered a larger Tilton master cylinder kit from TPC to replace the stock one and it looks like it will not clear the aluminum piece attached to the hydroboost by a bonjo bolt where the hoses are attached. Even if it will clear the hydroboost, it looks like the line to the slave cylinder is going to hit the strut tower. What is your experience in attempting to install the Tilton master cylinder with the hydroboost already installed? Everything in that corner of the engine compartment is a pain to work on and I'm trying to decide if I should mess with it or leave it alone. Thanks, Gil

I've used several of these. They will clear the hydroboost, but just barely. And as far as the line hitting the strut tower, as long as you use a 90 degree fitting in the M/C, it will clear.
Yes that corner is very tight.

I will give it a shot and attempt to install the larger master cylinder. It would be nice to have the clutch release a little farther from the floor. The goal for this summer is to address all the loose ends and the clutch is one of them.
