For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

The pics posted are at Tire rack's test track in South Bend, IN. I've been racing events between Chicago and Indianapolis.
And thanks for your complement.

Looks great! How does it track with the staggered tires. Everything I read says to keep it square but If I run the broadfoot flares, I want to go wide in the backscryfst wrote:CCW wheels948 wrote:Very nice!

I autox the car and needed as much rubber on the back as possible. My engine makes 392hp at the wheels and would over rotate often out of tight corners. (Probably because of my driving style, HUGE right foot)bluejk09 wrote:Looks great! How does it track with the staggered tires. Have yet to get the car on a road coarse. I can say that if you plan to track the car a square setup lends itself to tire rotation much better. Also 18x10's will fit under stock fenders with 285's, just need the correct backspacing.
Hope this helps.
Re: Scryfst '88 LS1, thought I'd share some updated pics
You definitely want a square setup. I run 17x9's with 275-40-17's all the way round at the track. Car is very neutral and I can point it with the throttle.
I'd wager my setup would work out well on an auto-x as well...

wheel size
Hello, nice job on the car. With your current wheel size, did you have to use any spacers. Those are the sizes i would like on my car. Sorry reread no spacers needed.

Upon closer observation it looks like you are using a vacuum brake booster. Am I seeing that correctly? If it is, how did you do it and what is the part #?

Very nice looking car! Enjoy it!
What engine modifications have you done to make your stated power? I'm guessing more than external bolt ons.
What oil pan/system are you using? Any issue with oil pressure? I'm more of a road track guy, but have seen the oil pressure light start to glow at times

Yes, However I have a few wildwood MC's that I'm going to try. Clutch pedal stroke is not what I'd like since installing Spec stage 3+ clutch.RS Technic wrote:Ahhh, That must be a Black mount plate. Very nice contrast

Nice work on the engine! Sounds like we have a similar setups. I was going for a flatter power curve so my parts section was slightly different, but we're very close. I'm sure it's a blast to autoX. Enjoy!
Just curious, what does your car weight?
