HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.
Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin
For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Re: Skywalker001 Build - Got my new shoes
Looks awesome but I would lose the hatch.
I think the fastback keeps the proportions better and looks more serious and less kit car like. I get a lexan hatch instead and tint it out. Love the flares in the satin black!

Yeah Hotshoe - I thought about it ...... for a couple seconds, but I think the notchback look sets it apart. If you hadn't noticed, what doesn't look kit car'ish on it Thanks for the props on the paint - it was hard to make the choice after the investment in yellow I had made......but then after all of the cutting of the body, there wasn't much yellow left.

Re: Skywalker001 Build - Got my new shoes
944-LT1, I am glad I didn't disappoint! Nothing like this for being in your face!! This is DuPont's Hot Hues Hot Rod Black (HRM-6400). It's a 2 part, single stage that doesn't need a clear coat. I am currently overseas (hence the rush), but when I get back, I'll add some accent stripes and test the 968 mirrors (mucho wiring to redo)
Porch - Thanks! I shudder to think what the cost would been had I farmed this work out. Don't even want to see another sheet of sandpaper as long as I live!
Dawgz - When I get back, I will get you those shots - thought I had some ....... rummaging around.....here's one that I have on cardomain. The holes on the hood are for the Aerocatch latches that I still have to install. Hood still needs to be aligned but it was good enough to load onto the trailer and get it home (and stop the meter on the paintbay usage fees. cha-chinggg!!)

@modenas - I think you'll have to take a number - I've heard that from several other people . Some of them, I really have to worry about!!
@Xschop - I'm hoping to get registered soon; we'll see what the general public reaction is.

Re: Skywalker001 Build - Got my new shoes
@Ender - Thanks ..... the foglights definitely made the car harder to paint. Could hardly mask the lenses because they were so tight in the wells.
@bluehellfire - Thanks for the compliment! I am going out of the area until the end of the month, but I am looking to get registered early next month. I plan on being on the road shortly after that!!

Re: Skywalker001 Build - Got my new shoes
Quite fitting that over the Memorial Day Weekend, the project got its GS Rank! Painted those with Gunmetal - now only if I could get a 948 Crest in that color

I'm in MD - right between Baltimore and DC. As I make the maiden voyage cross country, maybe I'll be able to stop by since Arkansas is in the flight path!
