Re: automatic trans on sbc 944 conversion
tourqe tube and splines just like a manuel .use c5 bellhousing and adapter plate and pilot adapter depending on choice of engine.i used early carbed 350 sbc pressure plate nflywheel and mopar 23 spline disc the only thing you wont use is throwout bearing.tourqe converter on auto transaxle in back on front of transaxle.the only weak link is the mounting plate that bolts driveshaft to tourqe converter.its made of thin mild steel.i reinforced mine with a stainless ringotherwise its a pretty simple conversion.im just now getting ready to put in my 3rd engine that puts out over 500hp.low geared and quick takeoffs.i have had my transaxle beefed even though it was still working great.stock stall speed is 2500 rpm on the automatic transaxle

This would be for the wife's car when it needs it. She needs more cockpit time before stepping up to real power!
