HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.
Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin
For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

WTB LS swapped 944
Hi - brand new here. Not sure if I am allowed to post here yet, but here goes.
I'm doing an LS swap into a 1972 Chevy C20 pickup at the moment and got looking into 944's. I love the lines of the car, test drove 3 recently (86', 88' Turbo and 90' S2 Cabrio) and am quite convinced that I should pick one up. After much reading about the timing belt maintenance schedule and relatively modest power the engines make, it didn't take long to find this forum. I'm in Toronto, Canada which makes everything a bit harder in terms of sourcing parts, shipping costs, etc. I don't really want to dig into a second major project at the moment, but thought I would throw a WTB up here just in case. Not too specific in terms of what I am looking for, but would prefer a running car, black or something other than red, though that's not critical, don't need crazy horsepower since it would be for street use only. I've got an 8 year old son and he thought riding in the back seat was the most fun he's ever had in a car.
Lots of great info on builds here!
Thanks!
Derek

Re: WTB LS swapped 944
Derek,
I wanted you to know that your WTB post is up. My car is almost road ready but not for sale and it's red anyway.... BUT there are experts on this forum that build "948" cars for clients. They are also an invaluable resource for many of us DIY folks that are chipping away at a project build.
You can also check other Porsche forum markets like the RennList Marketplace
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
... or perhaps even E-bay Motors.
Best of luck!

Re: WTB LS swapped 944
Thanks for the reply Ray- I’ve read through your build thread and appreciate all the detail and photos.
I’ve definitely been keeping an eye on Rennlist, along with Hemmings, Samba, FB Marketplace, Auto Trader and Kijiji in Canada. I’ll add EBay Motors to that list.
Thanks, Derek
