Heat sleeving for remote oil lines and coolant lines

Post  robstah on Thu May 26, 2011 6:01 pm

So, is everyone running a heat shield for the oil lines that run near the headers? I am thinking that wrapping/sleeving the oil lines and maybe the heater lines would be a pretty good idea. What is recommended out there?

- Can you reroute oil lines? Chances are they will pick up a bit of heat from the headers.

Here is a (catalog) link to Browne & Miller:

Browne & Miller Racing

Check section 10 of the catalog for protective sleeves. It is high quality, NASCAR, etc.

They can also custom fabricate lines with sleeves, etc. installed & can advise per your requirements.

In addition to what 944-LT1 did I also added the same type of heat wrap around the sections of exhaust which came close to the oil lines....
