When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Well she is here a thing of beuty. Question why cant we cut off the top two bolt holders for the rack and weld a plate in the middle of the rac and do a triangle back to the face of the cross member move the left side bolt boss over a couple of inches. This is what i think i am going to do. This will aloow me to run the stock oil pan with out any issues. Let me know what uthink. Thanks

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Well here it is,it sustained some mild damage in shipping but that is being addressed. Next is to set it in place and see how it fits. 2009 LS3 rotating assem has 20 thousand mile on it other wise she is new.

Re: New convert under way
The stock ls2/ls3 oil pan isn't so great. Lots of Camaros and Vettes blow up at the track. If you plan on sticky tires and long corners, an aftermarket baffled pan is a good idea anyway. And it leaves the steering rack attachment as original.
That is a thing of beauty.

Yep, TPC. I think he starts with a Moroso pan and modifies it. The fit wasn't very good but I understand he's made some updates recently.

Re: New convert under way
My new pans now have a baffle tray in them as well as the square in the bottom with baffle doors around the pick up tube end. I think these are the best of the best, just my 2 cents
And these are not Moroso pans......

Yeah, looks great. I stand corrected...
Part of me wants to build another 948 as a street car. Just to use this new oil pan with the spin on filter and those great looking shorty manifolds.

Too much oil going to the top end is a known issue with these engines.

Many of the corvette racers use .040 restrictor pushrods and/or modify the lifter retainers to ensure enough oil stays available at the pick up tube end.

A couple of cheap and easy solutions before stepping up to an Accusump or Dry Sump kit.

These picks show the hood clearance, with it closed i can put my hand on top of the intake and there is still abit of room.

Well it fits pretty darn nice. I need to oblong my mount holes in the cross member and make the shims needed. I will get more pics tonight camera packed it in last night. I will show how my mounts sit on the cross member, my angles are a bit different from the alum one but expected this. You can see lots of hood clearance. It closes with no issue at this point.
