When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

1984 N/A 5th gear in a 1987 Turbo Transaxle
I have spent some time looking at old threads on the topic of 5th gear swaps in the Turbo transaxle to lower the RPMs at highway speeds and I didn't find concrete information on exactly what gears will interchange. I have a 1984 N/A transaxle that I can remove the 5th gear set from to install in my 1987 Turbo transaxle. Will the gear set from the '84 N/A fit correctly in my '87 Turbo transaxle? I just want to be sure. Thanks, Gil

I know the 85.5 and up NA 5th gear will fit the turbo trans. I'm pretty sure the early gears are the same.

Yes, the '84 5th gear set will fit the 951 gearbox. I did the exact same swap.

RE: 5th gear
That's good news. I was thinking of replacing the synchros and freshening the transaxle while I had it apart. Does anyone know of a good source to get the parts?
