For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

C5 1 piece bellhousing adapter

Hey,
Was wondering if anyone had drawings for the 1 piece bellhousing adapter plate. I am planning to machine my own plate, but I can only find the drawings for what I'm assuming is the 2 piece bellhousing on the 944hybrids wiki.
Did the adapter thickness change from 0.6" when the 1 piece bellhousing became more common? Now that a spacer is required between the block and the bellhousing.
Appreciate any help.

Do you know if any machining has to be done on the bell housing? Also do you have the spacers for the bell housing to block for sale?

Is it the same adapter as the two piece one, or is it thinner? Will the original adapter made for the 2 piece bell housing work with a 1 piece (auto) bell housing?

To use the 1 piece C5 automatic bell housing you need.
No the original C5 2 piece adapter plate will not work with the automatic bell housing.
Original C5 2 piece adapter plate will work with the 2 piece bell housing.
Texas Performance Concepts (i am the owner) sells the new C5 1 piece adapter plates and modified 1 piece bell housing with spacer.[/list]
- modified 1 piece bell housing for hydraulic lines
- 1/4 shim to install between the block and bell housing
- new 1 piece adapter plate, modified to use with the 1/4 spacer
No the original C5 2 piece adapter plate will not work with the automatic bell housing.
Original C5 2 piece adapter plate will work with the 2 piece bell housing.
