For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

924 Twin Turbo 5.3 C5 T56 swap!!

Hey guys! I have an 87 924S, I’ve owned it since 06, worked great up until, 2013, and that’s when I made the decision to make this thing wild! Started gathering parts and now finally have enough parts to get started! I’ll be posting here regularly on big updates, I’m making a series of youtube videos, showing the process of this whole build! So stay tuned if you want to follow this journey with us!

Engine is fully rebuilt, with forged pistons and rods, ARP hardware top to bottom.

Nice, keep posting the pics. My 924 has a LS3 500 plus HP and the Z06 six speed.

so how much boost you going for? I am considering a turbo or super charger. I have done the spring upgrade cam change. Whole motor was redone. I have researched and i can do up to 8 or so pounds of boost with out issue. This would be good for 100 plus extra HP.

That will add some ponies. Question, are you running the same size turbos for both? In my research i have come to the conclusion that with a twin turbo set up it is beneficial to run one small and one large. This helps in a big way to get rid of the lag. smaller turbo quicker spool. U get the benefits of the turbo much quicker, while the large one is spooling. I watched some turbo tests online with various companies doing the tests. ie hot rod, car caft etc. and they all seem to come to the same conclusion.

Yeah I have looked into that as well, as of now I’m thinking of keeping them same size but not 100% yet haha I only have the one turbo now so I do have time to really think about it

to me it just made sense. get HP down low and let it build as the big guy comes into play.

one idea is to move the shifter to the top of the toque tube. A company called 928 motor sports, I bought my 930 to T56 axle adapters from them. They do conversions for the 928 with the T56. They move the shifter to the top of the TT.
