For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

1987 944 turbo look LS3 swap
recently got this running and driving 1987 944 na. the cars intended use will be a road race car that will still have lights and a tag in the event i take it to a show or parade. i have a turbo front bumper and turbo rear lower valance because i like the look. also have boxster s brembos i build a adapter for so they fit the 944 platform. i am building my polygraphite mounts from blocks on my lathe as there does not seem to be much support for the 944 in the bushing category besides high end expensive tarrett or elephant racing stuff. building my own adjustable coilovers. going to install a scca roll cage for road racing. i did not purchase a LS kit as i understand they are in mid limbo right now in re engineering it. so i am building my own. my background, im a retired porsche master tech, and machinist. i am not new to the conversion game, as i have done several 911 LS swaps. this car has no rust and is a good candidate for the swap. i have a ls3 that im building for the swap. asa cam, ported heads, ported intake, ported throttle body, ported maf, long tube 2" headers, etc etc. similar one i built earlier in the year made 590hp at the crank on pump gas. first pic is when i picked it up. second pic is after i got it home and installed the 993 18" turbo twists on it. here we go... ls3 mild build
the ls3 will be a mild build. stock ls3 intake and throttle body and ls3 injectors. other than that, the heads are shaved .030 and ported. gmpp ls3 blue springs, and gmpp asa race cam. 1 7/8" longtube stainless headers, cai, and a good tune should make a respectable 550hp at the crank easily. will make a monster at the track or any other event.

Just started following your build...it's looking very interesting so far.
With your background, a machine shop and ingenuity, you are adding a new dimension to the term "DIY."
Looking forward to your future posts!
