For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Question about brakes
As you are all aware I bought DVC's 948 and I am getting it ready for the track. It currently has the stock brake setup and is using a electric power brake booster. I guess my question is, will I need a proportioning valve or a bias bar, or what? Or can I just leave it alone?

Re: Question about brakes
Not sure is the best answer. To my knowledge nobody has used the electric brake setup on the track. I can tell you I had to install an adjustable rear proportioning valve with my hydroboosted setup...
Before I had one in, hard braking on the track was very exciting. On the street I couldn't tell the need for one at all...

So you had to dial out the rear braking force? To be honest, the electronic booster is a pain. The Guy that built the car put the pump and electronics in the fender well in front of the driver. So one night I was driving the car after installing the wide body, and I had no power brakes. Yikes! The plug that the relay for the motor were loose and corroded, and weren't making a good connection. So I had to order a new 5 wire connector and a few more relays. I have rewired the relay Into the engine bay. That way if the relay goes again, I don't have to pull the wheel, and the fender liner to change a relay.
On the other hand pedal feel is strong and sure. But as far as reliability on a race track, hydro boost would be my pick. Unless someone knows something I don't.

Re: Question about brakes
Yes, I had too much rear brake bias. With the big reds up front now I had to send a little more brake bias to the rear.
