HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.
Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin
For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Drove my first LS1 944 today!
The one I built in my garage! What a great feeling - what an amazing car! This is a pretty much track-only car, but I live in KS with no vehicle inspections so it's registered . I'm going to a local autox for some shake down runs April 1st, then my first track day of the year is April 13th at heartland park. It's going to be a LOT of fun on the track. I enjoyed the stock turbo 4 plenty, this should be 2x the fun!
This site was an invaluable resource - I bought my conversion parts from TPC and couldn't be happier with the quality. Between Eric's advice, and things I found on this site - my first start and drive was totally uneventful! Like this engine has been in the car the whole time. I used the mustang hydroboost, no air, no heat. I learned to weld and made my own exhaust. I'll do a build thread soon.
Thank you to everyone on here for making this site the great resource that it is

I want to congratulate you also! I envy you right now, in a good way! I am on the search for the LS for my conversion so I will have that feeling someday and hopefully soon! I live in a state that doesn't have inspections of any kind. That is a switch because I'm originally from California and they are not comforting to the hotrod crown. I am 50 and I can remember 30 years ago doing a V8 Vega and it was a pain to get it smog'ed. I have heard from others that it's a nightmare now days. Anyway enough with the blabbering. Good luck and have FUN!!!!!

Do you have an adjustable rear brake proportioning valve? You're going to one, the mustang hydroboost has too much rear brake bias. You can't tell till you're on track, then things get exciting. I installed a tilton adjustable valve...

I started work on Dec 26th, 2011, and took my first drive March 15th 2012.
docwyte - I read that on one of your posts a while back,so I just installed the tilton from the get-go! Thanks!

"Interesting" is chasing a GT2RS down the front straight of TWS at 150+ mph and applying the brakes results in 20 degrees of yaw pointing the car right at the wall of the banking.... Lots of Shout was used to clean the stains out of my drawers. Tilton to the rescue

Yeah, my "interesting" moment happened at High Plains Raceway, doing 140mph on the back straight, hitting the brakes and having the squirm all over on me. By the time I caught up to it I was a full car length over to the right.
Tilton to the rescue indeed!
