The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

F-Body Windage Tray vs. Y-Body Windage Tray
Is there any advantage to using the Y-Body windage tray versus the F-Body? The Y-Body tray is longer, it covers the whole crank where as the F-Body covers 3/4 of the crank. I dont know about pick up tube or dip stick interferences.

Re: F-Body Windage Tray vs. Y-Body Windage Tray
I’m using the stock L92 (Gen IV 6.2L) windage tray which is also full length and looks just like the vette’s (y-body)…with no interference from the pick-up tube, etc
Someone please chime in if this is a mistake while the mill is still on a stand.

Mine has the vette tray. Its a vette engine and with the customized Moroso oil pan, I had to fit the aftermarket Milodon 18290 pick up tube....no problem fitment wise at all.

I am using the full length tray found in the LS6/CTS-V. Fits the TPC pan and pickup perfectly
