For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Ok here it is the finished oil pan that I modified, their will be several images as to what I did.
Also look at my gallery as well it has some narratives to them:
Ok screw trying to upload the image here look in my gallery sorry the hosting site is way to confusing and trying to get an image on here is like pulling teeth not sure what I am doing wrong followed the directions and all.
Well anyhow here's the link:

New pics added to my gallery.
The oil pan is painted and on the engine.
Also the intake manifold is finished. I ported the intake to match the gaskets and painted it as well.

Now that's a modded pan (gold tone looks cool)....Any hammer work involved?
Why the offset sump?

Yep once I cut out the piece that needed to be modified I used a body panel hammer to knock it in enough for the Rack and pinion to fit.
I also had the oil pan in the template (that's in the pic with the oil pan)I made up while I did all the mods to it.
Why the offset sump well instead of hacking the oil pan right across I made it so it wrapped around the crossmember, it also will hold an extra quart of oil(is the basic reason) plus to me it's a cleaner look as well.
