HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.
Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin
For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

New Wide Body kit.
This may become a new wide body kit, if I get time to finish the other 3 fenders. The rear will be 4" wider and the fronts will be 2" wider.

Looking good, I hate not owning a garage or shop. I work in parking lots and storage buildings.

Re: New Wide Body kit.
Wow, I like the way they taper and just not add more flat area, gives it a more powerful stance visual, almost like the 911's. Nice touch look forward to seeing the front end to match up. How big a tire can you put under there?
Re: New Wide Body kit.
Whaaaat!?!! Do you know what I would have to go through to install those? Id have to rip off these gtracing ones somehow and start over. ....but Id do it just to have those on my car. Absolutely LOVE those.
Really like how you terminate at the door making body work less time consuming.

Re: New Wide Body kit.
I am trying to make them more like a skin than a full body rap like the other manufactures have. I want these to make the car wide at the wheels and not have to replace the tail lights and bumpers unless you want to. Oh , they will stack nicely in a box for shipping!
I am going to get the passenger side done in the morning, I have to take the drivers back of and redo it, I don't like the lip around the wheel. It's a little rough, I want them to be perfect looking before I make my molds.

Re: New Wide Body kit.
You are going to wait until the morning, just stay up all night, come on this is important.
Re: New Wide Body kit.
Whats a skin? What material is this stuff? Can I just lap them over my current widebody quarters?

Re: New Wide Body kit.
I call it a skin, but basically it's the same idea that was used on the front fenders on Sky walker's car.
You will just leave a little metal around the edges and use adhesive to attach them, blend them in and your done. I will probably make them 4 layers of fiberglass. What you see in the pictures is a super secret materiel, If I told you what it is I'd have to kill you!

Nice!
why don't the others do this? Why are you the only smart one? Or, why don't the others care?
I want very badly.

Re: New Wide Body kit.
I want it very badly too! That is why I seem to be the only one doing this. I have not seen a new body kit or even rockers for the 944 in years. I want my 80's car to look as good as the 2000's, I mean look at the mustang and camaros, they all went retro on styling. Why should we settle for just an average style when we can have more. Most of our cars have some sort of body damage anyway so it's not like we are hurting anything by doing this. We all need paint jobs anyway, Right? (or at least most of us).
I will post some pictures of the other side that I just finished this evening. Anyone have any idea for a cool hood style . That's next..................

Hey Eric, I may be on board towards the middle of the summer. These could take care of the forklift damage on the right quarter by the P.O. and......How wide rear tire can I stick on?

I know ....and I must say that this is the perfect application for this method. Kudos to Eric; this will be a looker. What material is this stuff?
Regarding the hood; could you add a power bulge towards the middle/front of the hood, accentuating the current hood lines? Something like a 350Z? This would add space for the TB or a MagnaCharger! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Copy, Paste, Suggested...
People are catching on...gt1scca wrote:A decent looking (and reasonably priced) aftermarket hood has not been produced, but should be. I know of a fiberglass "Arteest" that could make the spacer issue go away...
Hint, Hint.
How about the 2000 Cobra R?
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
If nothing else, the Z or R hoods would be a much better start than the (GRRR...) other hood. The R style hood could be made to blend in at the header panel, and still allow TB clearance. Like MK said, the existing F/G "hood" looks like, well...
Mold away, young man.
The crossmember can wait, if the quality and price of a great hood lives up to the standards of your other F/G parts. Glass one up, and I guarantee they'll sell.

Wow that looks nice, I'm going to start saving my pennies. What we really need, though, is a nice spoiler and rocker..........

Oh yeah.... I love the way the fender goes into the door. That car is what made me do the widebody in the first place! ....minus the rims of course.
Eric...With your fenders and that little bit of door skin like strosek, your kit would be awesooooome. Give my baby a phat A$$.

Wow! Very nice work!! Your kit gives the body a more tapered look. I would really be interested in that 'power buldge' hood.

as much custom work we are doing to these cars, they need a new name and a manufacture to produce them.
