For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Re: lS1 CONVERSION COOLING QUESTIONS
Don't need an electric water pump.
Depends where you live, if you're running AC, are you doing sprints or enduros, etc.
I've had to add a secondary radiator but most people haven't had to do that. I do still have AC though, so having the condenser in front of the radiator doesn't help...

I'm running the Ron Davis, with a full fan shroud and 16" Spal fan that runs on high. I've got 4 hood vents, custom ducting and have added the auxiliary radiator from a 2004-2007 Audi S4.

Re: lS1 CONVERSION COOLING QUESTIONS
Yes, I track the car here in Colorado. So the bad combination of high ambient temps and thin air.
Radiator is V mounted on the passenger side, gets air ducted by the lower part of the grill and the fog light hole.
Gets burped normally, the overflow tank is still the highest part of the system.

Re: lS1 CONVERSION COOLING QUESTIONS
I've got a 91' S2 about to undergo LS1 conversion. Radiator is "new" only about 1 year old.
Is the S2 radiator the same as the turbo radiator that many guys are using?
My radiator fans make the car sound like a jet engine about to take off. Is there a quieter alternative?
I'm in a hot part of the country and I want to run AC. What's the BEST cooling solution possible?
