HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

I know the emissions have been discussed before. I was looking throught htis conversion manual from Greg and double checking everything before I pull out this turbo motor.

In regards to the emissionsI know I need to keep the canister, do I keep the evap purge switch, sol valve, and PCV from the Porsche or do they come from a chevy?

I am trying to keep from making mistakes this time round.

I'm not the person to ask for any of this, but if i were to take a guess, i'd say:

Keep the Porsche canister.
Sol. valve, evap switch, PCV and everything else from the chevy (since the GM computer will be controlling them).

To be honest, those kind of things aren't worth much from the Porsche anyways--so you might as well keep them around until the car is running!

Wouldn't the only thing you really need to worry about is the vent from the gas tank. Where is that usually routed? Sorry for such a newbish question. Is that the canister mentioned? Activated charcoal?
