HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Wild Bill's New project! - Page 3 Empty Done For Now

Post  Wild Bill Thu Jun 03, 2010 11:41 pm

Finally got those last little things taken care of.. small modification on my Megasquirt 2 extra computer so I could control the cooling fan, Works sweet! set on/off temp wherever you want and even installed a rpm parameter in so it won't turn on while cranking or under 450 RPM..
Tuner Studio work's great and worth the $40. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Re-installed the clutch helper spring... Honda like now! Wife and kid will be happier!

Took it to our cargo operation at the airport a couple weeks ago and put it on the scales...
3050 Lbs with full gas and weigh bias 49% front and 51% rear, battery is in the right rear fender well, mount turned out nice and carpet fit's normal over top of it.

No issues keeping it at 160F degrees with the dual core rad and the single 16" fan..

I like the Hydra-boost, May not be a racers setup however sure works nice on the street..

Exhaust... I went with 3" into a little Catalytic converter into a 3' long cherry bomb glass pack into my home made muffler. Not quiet however sounds great IMO. It does still have some resonance behind it as I can set off car alarms just idling by at slow speeds in say second however in car resonance and sound is very acceptable and pleasing.

WHAT A BLAST!!! NO REGRETS!!!! Thanks for your help and opinions!

I was actually planning on running a similar exhaust setup... I would love to hear what it sounds like!

I'll get you sound and video asap. 2 dead cameras, 1 charger forgotten at lake and the other missing in action. I'll get some fresh current stuff soon!

For now this is a couple weeks ago, I have since moved the exhaust tips to even with the bumper and removed a significant amount of drumming and volume inside the car. The tune in the second video is a little lean when I stomped it in 4th and Timing and mixture is set up much nicer now! But you will get an idea!

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

RX8 was coming up on me fast, I punched it in 4th when his front bumper was about even with my rear bumper, he got up to about even with me till I got over my stumble.... Took it to ABOUT 80 MPH ? and backed out and waited for him to come by. Second run was bottom of second to 100 MPH and backed off.

Runs WAY NICER now!!!!

Hydroboost started leaking on hard brake applications. Little drip on the headers... Poof... Smoke... Embarrassing so ordered up a seal kit and rebuilt it. After a little research and study I decided to stretch the spool return spring, about 1.5" longer than stock. End result is less steering assist. Just fine in the parking lot but it feels much nicer at speed!

Hydro boost and master cylinder from a 2000-04 Mustang is what I use on the cars I build.

We have to space the motor down just the get the enigne under the hood, adding 2 turbo's, really?!? Laughing Remote rear turbo I think is the only way to do it without having to cut into the structure too bad.

Based on the space in my car I think if you didn't have A/C or P/S a turbo would just fit in front of each exhaust manifold. It would be tight but so is a twin turbo Viper.
