HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.
Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin
For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

pics of Hooker #2312 headers
Anyone have a picture of the modified Hooker #2312 header actually installed on the car?? The mod details on the Wiki is fairly detailed, but it would be helpful to see some installed shots.
Thanks,
Gord.

For the price of the hookers and the time required to modify them, it's cheaper to buy Kent's manifolds that he makes.
But, I believe there are pics on here somewhere.

I have some pics of Kent's long tube headers test fit on my LS-1 outside the car. If those would be useful, let me know and I'll post them.

Too late for that, I'm knee deep into this now! There are lots of "in process" pictures, but none that I can find of the finished product installed.
The long tube headers are a work of art!! My street 944 swap uses them, and I would use them again in a heart beat.....if the budget allowed (which it doesn't!).
Thanks
Gord.

Yeah that makes sense. Kinda late to go another route. Yes the long tube headers are really nice. I've used several sets. But, unless you are building a big power car, the smaller manifolds work really well.
Good luck on your header mods.

Hooker 2312 Headers
I just removed a set of modified Hooker 2312 headers from my car and I would be glad to sell them for $150 plus shipping. PM me. Gil. My words of caution are that if you have hydroboost, things get pretty crowded on the driver's side of the engine. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

RE: Headers
I used the Summit 829200 LS starter and had no clearance problems. I had to put a small dent in the head pipe to clear the nose of the starter but you could probably make a better head pipe that clears without denting it.
