For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

What header is everyone using?
Hi
I am upgrading my exhaust system from 2.5" to 3" and getting larger diameter headers (currently Sanderson CC2-P 1 3/8" both sides).
I have been advised to fit 1 3/4"" diameter headers, is anyone else running with that diamaeter?
I don't think sanderson make anything above 1 5/8"?
So what header are you all fitting and what diameter?
Note engine is an LT-1 in a right hand drive 944 (951)
Thanx

If you are less than 400hp a 1-5/8 inch header will suffice.
I am running the Sanderson 1-5/8 short headers.

Re: What header is everyone using?
Here is an update:
We have fitted Pacesetter headers of 1-5/8" and a complete custom built stainless steel systrem of 3.5" with just one straight through round rear silencer.
The result is that we have have increased the power from 285 to 319bhp and the torque from 214 to 360lb.ft. These performance figures are an increase on stock stated figures and the engine runs smoother and revs more freely.
Just shows what a difference an exhaust makes!
Thanx

I know this is really old but any chance you have the part number for those headers?
