For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Franken44 Part Out - fresh motor and all conversion parts
It's a little like putting your pet down, but it's time - parting the Franken44:
Two weekends in new motor - LS3 crate motor with LS1 heads and LS6 intake. Small road racing cam. Makes 440 RWHP, 420 TQ with monster torque curve. Just broken in, and esssentially all new - not a junkyard motor. Comp Cams trunion upgrade, and springs. Comp cams restricted pushrods. AN-12 ports in valance covers for a breather. Intake manifold is flipped, but this is reversible. TPC baffled/trap door oil pan. $6,000 for the entire motor/pan. This is drop in ready for a 944.
All new GM performance ECU, Drive by wire pedal (modified for linkage from separate gas pedal), and all new wiring harness for a plug and play swap. This has been a dream vs the junkyard swap I fought with for a while. Reliable, easy, and great drivability. 480 HP tune, which worked well, but has been further dyno optimized. $850
TPC ceramic coated shorty headers with Burns stainless merge collector into 4" oval pipe. V-band connectors. $900 for all.
QuickTime SFI rated bellhousing. Bulletproof and the adaptor is built in - meant for LS to 944 swap. I broke my aluminum Corvette bellhousing with my old LS1, so I upgraded - nice unit! $500.
Solid motor mounts- TPC $150
Aluminum fly wheel, and aluminum 4 puck clutch. Light - revs fast! Semi streetable, but a dream on the race car. Super fast shifts vs A steel clutch. 6 weekends in this. $700 for the clutch and flywheel.
AOR trans with an external Mocal cooler connected to the OEM geared pump via AN lines. $1,750 for trans and cooler.
JRZ triple adjustable, remote reservoir shocks. 3 seasons on rear rebuild, and one on front shock rebuild. Several springs from 750 to 1,000 lbs per inch. $1,750 for shocks, and $200 for 3 pairs of springs. Upper spring perches have thrust bearings
Racers Edge camber plates $200.
2 sets of 18 x10 wheels Enkei NT03 +M $900 per set.
1 set of square 17x9" OEM Cup 2 wheels $700.
Large Mishmotoo oil cooler. $100
Solid trans mount - $100
3 Quart Accusump with electric solenoid, check valve, and AN-10 connections. 2 weekends old. $300
Oil cooler thermostat for AN10 $75
Remote oil filter with huge Wix Racing Oil filter and 5 filters ($20+each for each filter)
$175 with the filters
Wilwood 6 piston calipers. These are axial mount with 3/8 plate steel adaptors for 944 S2 hubs and VW Touareg rotors. $400.
60k mile 944 S2 ABS front spindles (bought as spares and not used) $200
Tilton on triple pedal setup for manual brakes with master cylinders, and remotely adjustable brake bias via balance bar- works great - $650
Rear OEM turbo calipers $200
Predator high mount fiberglass rear wing with uprights. $400
Lexan rear hatch $300 (pick up only)
Traqmate data acquition with Replay camera. $400
Rear torsion tube with Elephant Racing Polybronze bushings, and spherical bearings on the banana arms $500
5 liter AFF fire suppression system $175
Weltmeister antisway bars front and rear. The front has a home built mounting system, and would need new drop links built (simple heir joints and threaded rod would work) $500 for both bars
Sabelt Halo seat. Still in FIA certification (I will check for how long soon) $450 with side mount brackets
Momo steering wheel dished, leather, with quick release and 944 adaptor. $275 for all.
AIM brake pressure sensor, oil pressure sender, and oil or water temp sendors. $50 for each
Steering angle sensor -belt driven, never installed -$75
String pot throttle position sensor for AIM (used) - $50.
AIM patch cable - will include with 1st couple of sensors bought
Large Autometer Comp tach- $90
Various electrical and mechanical temp gauges $25 each (minimum 3 to ship)
Will make package deals.

Re: Franken44 Part Out - fresh motor and all conversion parts
Is the solid transmission mount one of XSchops? I may be very interested in it, I have a late 85 model with AGR trans.

Re: Franken44 Part Out - fresh motor and all conversion parts
It's a Lindsey Racing unit. It is meant for the late top center mount. If your car is an oval dash car, it will fit.

Re: Franken44 Part Out - fresh motor and all conversion parts
All that is left now is the rear suspension with the elephant racing polybronze bearings, and spherical bearings on the banana arms, and the Painless wiring harness.
