HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.
Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin
For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Porsche Brake bias used on hydroboost installs or no?
You guys that are running the 944 master with the adapter and Ford hydroboost... are you running the 944 cylinder brake valve directly out of the master for the rear brakes or no?
Reason I ask is I'm having issues with my pedal being very soft and going to the floor with a new hydroboost and master installed. Going to bench bleed the master (while in the car) today and just want to make sure I'm not fighting an uphill battle if I'm not using the right parts. I am also using a tilton proportioning valve FYI.

My 86 NA didn't have this valve so it's not on there. I had to search to see what it is. I guess it's only on turbo and S models. I have been really pleased with the braking of this set up. Maybe someone with a turbo that has one will chime in.

With or without hydroboost, a prop valve with the Porsche master is a good setup. My '87 n/a didn't have one either but I added the turbo one when I upgraded to M030 calipers front and back.
But Zeus, you probably won't need / don't want two prop valves in the system. Your issues does sound more like a fluid problem than a hardware one. The bench bleed should do it.

Thanks for the input. I didn't get to it today because my dog had to be put down so I'll probably do it next week. Rough day.

If you car originally had a prop valve, keep it.
Not sure this would cause a sinking pedal, sounds like a bad MC or one that needs bleeding.
