HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

1990 944 S2 with LS1 and lots of goodies
Up for sale is a 1990 Porsche 944 S2 with an LS1 swap pulled from a 2001 Firebird. The car has too much stuff done to it to get a comprehensive list going here, but i'm happy to go into detail for prospective buyers.
Black 1990 944 S2 - 200k on the odometer but you wouldn't know it from the car itself. The car does have dents and dings but the paint is solid and the car has probably been garaged its whole life. The car came from TX (now in NM) with no rust anywhere. The car has been to the road course a few times and one or two autocrosses but mostly has been a weekend cruiser. Selling to pay off student loans! The car is ready to start up and drive away. I would not hesitate to drive it across the country right now.
+ spare radiator, axles, turbo fuel pump, external oil cooler, a/c compressor for the LS, and more.

I performed the swap myself, but don't let that scare you. I have received compliments on the swap from numerous shops, including one that came with a job offer. I worked at a hot rod shop most of my way through college and have built a number of cars prior to this one.
The car was a daily driver for a few years (except in bad weather) but these days i usually only drive it once or twice a week, for the whole 3 miles to my work. The car has been dead reliable.
I would recommend that the buyer plan to have the car tuned, as it is set up for very high elevation right now (7200ft).

Asking $21,500. I am not in a rush to sell. Contact me at ccollord-at-hotmail-dot-com if you'd like to discuss!

Re: 1990 944 S2 with LS1 and lots of goodies
Thanks!
A little sad to be finally putting it up for sale, but for the last two years i've lived in a town with 35mph speed limits and 3 mile drives to work...it just doesn't get the use that it should.

Congrats, sad to see you go!
Did you get what you wanted out of it and did it sell from the ad here?

Thanks docwyte, sad to be leaving! We just had a kid and I'm just too busy with other stuff to enjoy the car anymore. It's been fun though!
I got $16k for it. Not what I was hoping for, but it needs a few little things (tires, alignment) and I just don't have the time or money to keep it up the way it deserves.
