For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

What to look for in an already converted car?
As I have never done a conversion much less even driven a converted car what should I be looking for? Should I get a PPI done somewhere on the car? I would like to make sure the car I buy has been converted correctly and it was a good job.
It sounds to be a good running machine. I know wiring can but its head if not done correctly. It sounds like the car used a renegade kit. I have heard mixed reviews on their mounts, but is anything else an issue from them?

I bought a car already built. Basically, just take it for a long test drive. If it drives OK, and you like it, buy it. These are old cars, you will find yourself dealing with basic 944 maintenance regardless of the engine.

Brakes and oil cooling/filtration are tricky parts of the conversion. I'd examine those systems and compare them to examples of well sorted cars on this forum. Does the car have a good number of miles on it since the conversion? If not, you can expect some teething pains.

The car it sounds like has mostly renegade parts for the conversion. It has been converted for 15000 miles roughly. It was an NA that has turbo big reds and turbo rear calipers, and using electric booster. Has AC and power steering.
I have had a 924s and a 944 turbo. So I'm used to ask that goes along with the chassis itself.
How is the engine to work on?
