When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

944 transmission input spline
I would like to know if the input spline on the 944 transmission is compatible with a clutch disc if it is i want to try to use the transmission in a 914 because the gearing is better and stronger.I know i will have to make a bell housing adapter and change the shift linkage but the main problem is can i get a clutch disc to fit the spline. Thank You

Re: 944 transmission input spline
944 = 23t x 1"
914 = 24t x 0.81"
914 = 24t x 0.81"

Re: 944 transmission input spline
Actually the problem is that the 944 transmission does not have a taper for a pilot bearing because the main shaft is coupled to the drive shaft of the torque tube. Not sure if the splines on the main shaft are the same as the splines at the clutch end of the torque tube.
Clutch.net will make any clutch if you give them the dimensions of the hub, overall diameter, and inner diameter of the pressure plate.
