HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

I have a lightly used, less than 2K miles, Stage 1 clutch system for sale that came out of my conversion. The car was having a vibration and disengagement issue so I swapped the clutch out to reduce down time. The Spec clutch system was sent to a machine shop and balanced.
This cost $550 new, I will sell it for $350 shipped for the flywheel/conversion specific disc/pressure plate and slave shim.

Yes, when I replaced it with an LS7 system the vibration was gone. So, I sent the Spec system out to be balanced prior to resale.
Moral of the story, always get the FW/PP balanced prior to installation.

I have to add when this was in the car it was grabby. Maybe it was due to the vibration not allowing complete disengagement or not, I don't know. The disc itself doesn't have much of a Marcel spring to smooth the engagement.

Pictures? Also how out of balance was the assembly? Any documentation from the machine shop that did the balancing? And finally, the flywheel just a stock GM LSX unit?

The flywheel is a steel unit from Spec not a factory LS1 flywheel. Other than my receipt, I don't have documentation on the balancing. The machinist said it wasn't out by much. Apparently, just enough to create the vibration. I can get some pics if you want them.

The assembly comes with the slave spacer that was not included in the pictures.

Still for sale as a package or will separate the parts. I have a pilot bearing adapter for the LS motor and Spec clutch assembly that was rebalanced. PM any questions.
