HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Hydroboost mounting Empty Hydroboost mounting

Hello Folks
I am doing a little back paddling and trying to mount the hydroboost unit and had a couple of questions to those that are using hydroboost.
Do I mount the hydroboost at the stock 944 brake pushrod location ?
Are there any clearance issues ? coils, valve cover, shock tower.
What thickness firewall reinforcement plate are you using ?
One more, Does anyone have fitting numbers if I go with AN adapters ?

Thanks in advance for any help.
I did a search of the forum but could not find any definitive specifics on the mounting.

Try again, use the advance search function, the answers you seek are all there.
This topic has been covered a few times.

I'm going with Earl's fittings as they're steel. Russell only offers one of the fittings in steel.

Those part numbers are 961956 (18mm x 1.5) and 961955 (16mm x 1.5).

I'm trying to dig up thread sizes for the HB return line and brake lines at the moment.

Thanks for the information. I am trying to locate adapters for the Porsche rack. The banjo adapters that I am finding are sometimes listed as "fuel rail" fittings. The size matches and the machining looks sturdy enough. Any concerns? I think they are on Ebay as Honda fuel rail adapter, 12mm banjo to 6 AN.
Thanks

I did a bit more research and pricing for the hydroboost fittings and I ended up going with Hydratech part HBS9102. It comes with two banjo fittings for the in/out pressure sides and an AN fitting for the return. All -6 AN. I was only going to purchase the return fitting but I liked the low profile of the banjos.

As to the rack fittings I've not been able to find steel -6 AN banjo fittings. The bolts are easy - they're 12mm x 1.5 - but all the banjo fittings are -4 AN as they're all intended for use on brake calipers.

The alternative, which I plan to do at the moment, is use Pegasus part 3276-003. I'm not 100% certain this part is correct as I found it here on the board. I'm going to order it and find out.

You can use metric ORB to JIC fittings, Pretty sure it was Hydratech.
Dont need to reinforce the firewall IMO
Search my posts, i'm sure I posted my mods and numbers on threads.
