HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

AN-6 fitting on Rack Power Steering Input.
I have been plumbing my Hydroboost of late, and working toward the 944 power rack.
I have converted the LS1 power steering pump to output AN-6.
The input of the hydroboost is adapted to AN-6, and the hydroboost pass through for the power steering to AN-6
My question is the power input to the rack. I can convert the 12mm x 1.5 adapter directly to either AN-4 or AN-6.
If I use AN-6, all my hose stays the same size on the power sides, which is a plus, as I have the Parker 919 stainless -6 hose and no additional fittings needed.
If I use AN-4, I need to make an AN-4 hose, and adapt it to the AN-6 hose output of the hydroboost, which will invole a reducing coupling and 2 more fittings to leak.
I like the idea of the an-6 as direct input to the power rack. However, will this add to the problem of the overcapaity of the LS1 pump to the Porsche rack, as there is no restriction?
Has anyone done this using all AN-6 to the power rack with the stock LS1 pump, any problems with overcapacity or twiching? I do not plan autocrossing, so I'm not thinking it will overheat, so I'm not modifying the pumpat this time
I also have a question on the O-ring style adapters on the Hydroboost. How much do you tighten against the adapter tube style O-ring? This is not a Ford unit, but a GM truck style.

Re: AN-6 fitting on Rack Power Steering Input.
I use a #6 fitting there all the time without any problems

Same here all -6AN for the pressure side of things.
