For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

LS1 or LS6 Accessories layout?

For an LS conversion is a 2004 GTO LS1 engine considered a F Body? Also can you use a LS6 out of a 02-03 ZO6 with the stock accessories layout from a vette?

The F Body significance is related to the front accessory layout including water pump, to make things easy use F Body accessories.
With regards to installing a ZO6 motor (LS6), get the motor then swap the front accessories. I'm running a LS6 Block + Intake with ported 806 heads and custom cam, I thought about trying to use Corvette accessories but decided my time was better spend on other parts of the conversion that require fabrication.

F-body accessories generally work better. I have a 2004 GTO and was not able to use the A/C compressor but could use the alternator.

If I were to buy a LS6 engine how would I swap it to make it have f body acc.'s? Arthro do you have A\C?

The F-body accessories bolt right up to my LS1 2004 GTO block. The block has the same mounting holes, the items themselves have different mounts. I am running an A/C compressor from a F-body. The A/C was the only accessory I had to change.

I have the same 04 GTO engine, I did the A/C compressor wap as well. The GTO P/S pump is a big ugly truck type pump. If you switch to a Turn 1 pump, or an F-Body pump, you will need the F-Body P/S bracket. I think I paid 20 bucks or so for a new one from a local dealer.

for brackets and accessories, you can hit up forums like ls1tech and check the classifieds.
I also used this place [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] they have kits with everything you need and when they ship out bolt kits(like ps bracket bolts) they come neatly labeled in individual bags.
