LS2 to make 400rwhp?
Hi I am looking to do an LS2 conversion. I want to be making over 400rwhp what are the mods needed to achieve this? I plan on using a single 3.5inch or 4inch exhaust and TPC long tube headers.

Headers, throttlebody, tune and a free flowing intake will probably get you there.remington7 wrote:Hi I am looking to do an LS2 conversion. I want to be making over 400rwhp what are the mods needed to achieve this? I plan on using a single 3.5inch or 4inch exhaust and TPC long tube headers.

I'm making almost that with my LS1. Shorty headers, intake and cam. The cam selection is the key. Get the wrong one and you can be down 40rwhp. Been there, done that!

Don't forget the LS2 is rated at 400hp from the factory (not rwhp of course) and the LS1 is rated lower.

So an LS2 is around 350rwhp then?
If so, still going to need a cam to get over 400rwhp...

No cam can get you to within 8hp of 400. anything more will require a cam.
