HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Errors/changes/omissions to the "Manual" Empty Errors/changes/omissions to the "Manual"

Post  fliermike45 Fri Mar 04, 2011 7:53 pm

There has been some recent chat about the "Manual", we know that it's not perfect and that certain errors or omissions exist.
I would like to suggest that you start a new Board Topic where we can post notes concerning errors and ommissions that we identify during our swap activities.

There should be some rules, no flaming, no discussions just simple posts that identify page number and the item or data in question. No "My way is better than yours" discussions, simple facts.

I have three items to post immediately.

I have a bunch too. Razz

Honestly, it would be better off creating a new manual or new information. This "edit on page 5" style won't help anyone who could not get a hold of the manual themselves.

Errors/changes/omissions to the "Manual" Empty The Manual

Agree with you about not having a manual but the point is to at least get something written down at a central point with easy access.

Errors/changes/omissions to the "Manual" Empty LSX Oil Pan

Post  fliermike45 Sun Mar 06, 2011 5:15 pm

If you use the "Moroso" oil pan for the LSX, you need to obtain a modified Moroso oil pick up tube.
This is indicated in the manual. (I missed this fact until I rechecked the parts list.)

Transmission plate in the manual will not fit over the gears as it's drawn.
Set back plate drawing have hole locations wrong on them.
Oil pressure sending unit in the manual will not read accurately with a factory turbo gauge sometimes...

It would be nice if someone sold an adapter to fit the factory one back in where the LSx one is. I know it would be small enough. My only issue was that the factory one off of my old motor was busted up pretty bad and I needed a new one and was not going to pay Porsche prices.

Hey guys there is a separate thread to discuss the Oil pressure sender.
I would hope we keep this thread to identify the errors/omissions in the "manual"
Thanks
