HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.
Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin
For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Re: New Wide Body kit.
You may want to make a modular hood header combo. So the hood or header panel will work independent or complement each other. The Corvette has the rise extending in to the header so you could no use that piece alone. The Camaro has a flat panel with the air intake slit so you could use it with a stock hood. Might create a larger audience.

Re: New Wide Body kit.
so do you think you could fit a 325 under the front fenders with the right offset? I'm thinking of going with a 15X10 on all four corners with some nice thick meat on the bones all the way around...maybe dial in some more 50-50 traction?

There is 6" between the back of the tire and the inner fender well. You can fit just about anything in there

AAAAWWWWEEEESSSSOOOOMMMMEEEE!!!!
so i'm guessing that this won't work with the turbo rear splitter? Not a problem by me...just wondering what i could do to stabilize the rear end a little bit....maybe i'll have to make one myself!
Looks really good (in case you didn't get that already...haha) so what did you change...you said you could never leave well enough alone.
Regardless i will be in for a set this summer once you're in production!
Keep up the kick ass work man...you're really one-upping us all here!

Re: New Wide Body kit.
I added bulges on top of all the wheel openings. It's hard to tell what it really looks like in the garage on the lift, I plan to have it out side this weekend and I can take better pictures.
Thanks for the compliments. I's a lot of hard work!

Classic. That Looks like a whole different kind of beast that Porsche didn't have the vision to see thru. Which it is. What will you wind up doing to the inner fender (original) lips?

Re: New Wide Body kit.
On the front I think I will bond in just enough of a lip to be able to screw the original well liner to it..
On the rear it'll have some fiberglass extension.

Re: New Wide Body kit.
I dont think it gets any better than this. Im not sure if it was done intentionally or by devine mistake but it has the 80's 911 turbo lines which is what I immediately thought when I saw the pics above. Oozes sexy. Great job Eric!
......make a version for those with 2" wider quarters already?!?!

Re: New Wide Body kit.
For those with 2" quarter already, These will fit......Just get the saw zal and remove all necessarily sheet metal and quick easy fit!
Re: New Wide Body kit.
Hey Eric, Which polymer do you use to stick fiberglass panels to the body. I have a few tubes of Loctite 2-part PLASTIC Epoxy that I want to do the finall glue job to your NICE bumper cover. Also how is the front nose panel removed from the NA car since I will be building my custom air intake next week? I see the 5 screws on top but can't tell how it is attached anywhere else....Thanks, Rob

Re: New Wide Body kit.
There should be 4 screws on top (pop the headlights) 4 8mm nuts under the lights and 2 10mm sheet metal screws into the fenders (also under the lights) There you go X....

Re: New Wide Body kit.
Rob, I haven't gotten to the point of finding the right adhesive just yet. I thought I might just copy Skywalker!
Here are some pictures of the car outside finally!

Update?
I know I'm late to the party, but did this ever become a kit? Looking at wide body options, I would definitely be interested in this one compared to some others.Admin wrote:Once the real parts are done I will make an instructional write up in how to install and it'll be on my web site. The front fenders are going to be complete fenders. After looking at what Skywalker has gone through to get his on I just can't see myself making people have to do that much work just to install a wide fender. Plus the extra cost of the adhesive and extra body work. You will have to bond on the rear . Not much of a way around that. I hope to have everything really slick so there will not be to much prep needed for paint either.....
