For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

My latest project comes to an end , Nearly!
It started life as an 83 NA with about 65k miles on it. The current owner bought it from a local Porsche dealer / race company. I assume he drove it home and called me! It still has the paper dealer tags on it......
I installed a 2005 GTO 6.0 lt all aluminum LS motor. The 405 HP version, It's DBW and has all accessories working, AC, Heat, and Added power steering.
I installed my headers into dual 3" into a cross over and back to a Magna flow muffler and chrome tips.
I also installed a Turbo transmission with the 5th gear change as well.
It also has Hydro boost power brakes.
What do you think?

Thanks, If the covers didn't say GTO maybe just LS2 6.0 or something like that!
Re: My latest project comes to an end , Nearly!
That is a clean installation almost factory looking. Do you have any audio of the exhaust?

That is one clean expertly done install! I have never seen coil packs like that before, definitely would help with the brake master cylinder area.

Vacuum reservoir, on the later cars its located behind the firewall next to the battery.

Very clean routing all the hoses, particularly for the hydroboost. I want my engine bay to look that clean! Is it possible for that to happen?

Very nice looking.
I see the 4 coils on the ps head. Where are the other 4 on that engine, on the back of the ds head?

The four coils on the front of the head are from the drivers side, I have been putting them on the strut tower, but I thought I'd try something different. With the hydro boost the coils no longer fit on top of the valve cover, so I put them in about the only place that I had left. The passenger side coils are still under the cover where they are supposed to be.

Now I see you have the plug wires routed over the top. Slick, I didn't notice until you said the coils were for the drivers side.

I buy the hydro boost units from the local salvage yard, and depending on how many miles the cars have, I may or may not use it as a core for a rebuilt unit.

It surprised me when it actually shut! Most of the time I have to go back and move something!
