For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Hybrids are coooool
Hey sports. I have been thinking of showing you guys a few of the cars I have had the pleasure of working on (Hybrids) but for the life of me I could not find a "general" forum that they fit into. So I picked the forum that has the most action!
Here are a few winners:

LS7 RX7. Yup, 505HP Z06 engine. VERY nice conversion. I think its nearly a perfect package of durability and grace. I corner balanced this one and get this... It was nearly perfect to the pound in all four corners when completed. Its a great car.

Here is a 914 with a WRX Subaru turbo conversion.

Again, lots of fun... Then there is:

914 wild V8. It was from awhile ago but still fun to look at!

I love the subaru engine. I was thinking that the H6 SVX motor would be prime for a custom built tubular frame car, low COG and powerful, plus fairly light.

MB-Very sweet seven! Do you recall the total weight?
The RX7 V8 guys have a head start on us, but with our own conversion manual, this forum, and a reputable place to purchase kit, we are catching up

Well yeah, the motor that came in those cars was a timebomb straight from the factory! At least the 2.5L Porsche motor CAN be made reliable!!MB-Very sweet seven! Do you recall the total weight?

Anyways, those are some nice swaps! I considered the RX7 before i bought my Porsche, but those cars are just cheaply built from the top to the bottom, front to the back. For the same money i think the Porsche is a hundred times the car. And it's less popular and better looking (IMO) to boot!

Could not have said it better Chris. Surprised it's that heavy considering how it's constructed. They usually claim lighter than that.
Thanks for the reply Michael. It's nice to have the real data.
