For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

How to bleed LS1 w/ 951 radiator?
I just put a new 951 radiator in my LS1 conversion, and I can't find a great post from a couple years ago about how to bleed the cooling system.
I seem to remember something about putting the front wheels up on ramps or something?
Does anyone know?
Best,
Andy

Re: How to bleed LS1 w/ 951 radiator?
What I do is let out as much air from highest spot in the system while the engine is running but before warm up and pressurization of the system. I raise the front of the car, start the engine from cold and pull the hose off the front steam vent port of the engine. Air hisses out for a moment and then coolant, I quickly stick the hose back on and clamp.
Hope this helps.

I take the cap off the expansion tank, hold the throttle about half way open for as long as it takes for the system to burp. The fluid will rise in the expansion tank then, when it burps, will go down. Once the level stabilizes it seems to be bled. I have had to do this when I initially filled the system and again when the water pump was changed, seemed to work well.
