HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

I was looking for some replacement fenders and came across a guy local selling GT Racing Fenders and Bumper for stupid cheap. They have never been mounted. Does anyone have any experience with these? I wanted to do a turbo bumper conversion anyway and came across this. This would all be priced at $1000+ from GT Racing. Has anyone used these before and how's the fitment, quality, etc.

Yeah that is what I figured. I am definitely not building a show car but I definitely want a nice end product.

Do you see any issue using these fenders with the fender flares?

Was not sure how strong they would be to bolt on flares on top of them. If anything I would think it may help hide some of the fitment between the bumper/fender and fender/door with the flares and may help strengthen and hold everything together as well.

Well, depends on what the flares are made of. If fiberglass, they will bond nicely to these. If urethane or something else, though ive not tried, I don't think they would bond quite as strong.

I do know that these bond quite nicely to steel with lord fusor or 3m SEM.

I'm not saying theyre no good, I'm saying they need extra fitment to look good.
