For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

F-Body 5.7 LS1 Wiring Harness and PCM work with 4.8??

I have a wiring harness that was made for a LS1 5.7 and PCM. The PCM is from an F-Body. Will this combo work for someone running the LS1 4.8 truck engine?

That should also have info on your PCM so you can figure out what (if anything) may need to be re-pinned.
The site has lots of detailed information, but it could be a bit better organized. You will probably need to dig through a bunch of different pages to figure out all the fine details related to what you are looking to do. It also has links buried in the text to other resources as well.

what year 4.8l? there were 2 different crank and cam trigger wheel combos through the years. the ls1 and early (gen 3) truck engines use a 24x crank trigger wheel, late model gen 4 engines used 58x.
as long as you use an early 4.8l engine (i think around 06 is when they changed) you should be ok.

The engine is a 2002 lr4 4.8 ls truck engine.
