For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

TPC Oil Pan Gasket?
Hey guys, I'm finally getting around to installing the Ls1 in my 951. I have the LS on the engine stand now and wanted to get everything bolted on. Question is what is everyone doing for a gasket on the TPC oil pan? The stock unit sits recessed into the pan, it seems the TPC unit would use a more traditional flat pan gasket or maybe just RTV?
And yes, I used the search function... It get no items found when I search oil pan... seems weird.

Wait... I think I just realized that metal part is part of the gasket and not the stock oil pan. So I guess the question now is can I reuse the GM unit?

Type keywords into search box and click "Search Google" immediately to the right of the search box

The above method is used for this forum? I have never seen any "Advanced Search" on this forum. What are we missing?

When you click " search", advanced search is right below the white dashed line on the box that pops up.

Re: TPC Oil Pan Gasket?
Are you using the 'Search' located between FAQ and Memberlist on the row just ABOVE the right side search field box?

Re: TPC Oil Pan Gasket?
NOPE!!!
I have looked at that menu bar and never saw the "SEARCH" between the FAQ and MEMBERLIST.
I only used the SEARCH on the right side of this area below the LOG IN/LOG OUT button because it just seems to pop out as the obvious place to go.
I apologize for taking this thread and turning into an explanation point on how to find the SEARCH button for the ADVANCED SEARCH option.
Maybe Admin or the Moderator can cut this info out and place in an area that can be found for others if they have/had the same blindness as I did.
THANKS EVERYONE!!!
