For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Cal Speed and Performance
Hi
I'm in Europe and would like to know if anyone in here has expirience with Cal Speed and Performance in Bakersfield. CA?
I have some parts missing from them after buying a LS6 engine last year ( wiring loom and PCM ) but they don't respond on my mails. Have even tried to call them but no one answering.
Don't know if it's ok to post here but i give it a try because i really need the parts to finish my project. Racing season is starting now
If you want to contact me direct you can use this mail: peter (at) pro-motor.dk

Re: Cal Speed and Performance
I called them yesterday and got a answering machine, although the guy called me back a few minutes later. Sorry, I don't know anything about them.

Re: Cal Speed and Performance
Thanks for testing. I'll give it another try tonight. Think they can see the number and know that it's me calling I'm in doubt about what to do because the distance. Any suggestions? I really need the parts to continue my build and has 1,5 year ago paid everything but they forgot to send it with the other parts i bought. What most confuses me is the fact that they collected many other parts that i got sent to their adress and they sent the whole to me on a giant pallet.
If this comes out without the parts being sent to me, WHO would you Guys recomend to make me a standalone wiring harness and program a PCM for a car only build for track racing?

Re: Cal Speed and Performance
I am using a standalone harness from PSI and im very happy with the quality, i think it should be pretty easy to install.

For a PCM, i bought a 411 unit off eBay from SpareECM for less than $100 shipped. They can put on a factory tune from an LS6 based car (say a C5 Z06 or CTS-V) if your leaving the car mostly stock. If your making changes to the car, you can do a mail order tune from a few places stateside. You give them the general specs of your motor such as injector size and what cam you are running and they can put a base tune on the PCM to get the car running and drivable. From there you can have the car dyno tuned. As long as your not doing a huge cam or any other major changes a base mail order tune will probably be pretty close.
