For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Hi It's Q here from the UK. we're just about to start the conversion.
What headers would you recommend for a right hand rive car. I guess that any header would need to be a block hugger anyway but the left hand header will need to clear the steering. If I can buy something rather than have to make it up it would be a great start even if it still needs some alteration.
Thanks
Q
Very Happy

I should have mentioned that the engine is from a '95 Corvette so it's an LT1 350 and the car is an '89 turbo 944.

You should be able to use the sanderson headers , cc2 and cc90. You could just used them on the opposite side than we do here.

Hi Admin
I've seen reporst that they are prone to cracking at the collector - are they improved nowadays? Also are the final down sections not angled backwards to the rear of the car?
Thanks

They point straight down , you have to add the piping to go towards the back.
Yes they will crack, just like any other welded header that is improperly installed. You need to install some type of flex in the piping system, on our cars the exhaust only hangs from a few points which will put a lot of stress on the tubing and cause cracking over time.
