radiator help

radiator rear, not only do i have to lower damage but look at waht the fan did to the fins in the middle, I am glad I paid so much for this thing.

Need help on this one. looks like I hit something pretty good, still not sure what either a rock or a armadillo. Either way the radiator and supports are shot. I have clean up where the undersized factory supports are for the standard turbo radiator. This RH radiator has given me a slight headache do to the fact it sat lower then the cross-member to begin with. Already called and it is up to me to fix.

So I have options now, First I have to figure out if I can repair the damage to the radiator. I have a local speed shop saying they can and I trust the guy, so I will take it there first to let he see what he can do.

Second, If it can be fixed or even if it can not be fixed I need to figure out a good mounting solution. I thought about mounting at a slight angle but honestly that does not improve the height by much, already did the math. I thought about cutting the hood support section out and jsut raising the radiator a couple inches that way.

Either way I go I need to figure this out. Can you guys offer any ideas?

I raised up my radiator a couple inches; I had to remove the hood latch though. I used some universal rad mounts from summit racing and mounted them to the existing rad supports.

Took my radiator to the local speed shop. He says he can straighten out the frame but the fins will not cuase a problem since they are low in the radaitor, usually where the supports cover.

This is good news for me, I will soon be picking it back up and getting started on my radiator supports.

Speaking of that, what gauge steel would be good to use for the supports?
