For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Buying LS6 intake
Hey guys, I'm looking at buying an LS6 intake that's for sale here locally. Guy said it comes with fuel rail and injectors. He said it is off of 04 GTO that had 19,000 miles on it. Asking $300. Just figured I would run it by my "car family" first.

Re: Buying LS6 intake
GTO's don't have LS6 intakes, they have LS3 intakes, not the same thing. Most LS6 intakes I've seen for sale are around $450-500 on ls1tech.com.
If you're going to buy an intake, I'd wait till a FAST 90 or 92 pops up and buy it instead.

are you sure? everything I've read says that the 04 GTO has a LS1 with LS6 intake... I could go check mine to be sure.

Ah, yes. The 04 does have the LS1, it's the 05 that has the 6 liter, so you're right.
That's a really good price for the intake, I'd buy it...

The guy I bought my motor from has a brand new FAST 92 for 1100$. That's just more than I was wanting to spend right now. Just wanted a quick little bump in hp before I drop the motor in ya know.
The number on the intake is 12573572 and from what I have seen it appears to be legit. I'm gonna look at the bottom of it to verify.
