HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Throttle Cable
Quick question before ordering a throttle cable from GM:
Is the cable P/N# 12550676 plug-n-play with an LS conversion?
The reason I'm asking is that no local parts houses in Portland seem to carry this cable. I can order from GMParts direct but cannot return the part if it doesn't work. I'm willing to order a custom cable from Summit as mentioned in a different thread, but would prefer to use the GM part as long as it works in the 944 application.
Just looking for confirmation from someone that this part indeed works with the Porsche throttle pedal connector and LS1 throttle body.
Thank you in advance,
Dan.

Re: Throttle Cable
Nope you will need to mod it. I used that cable and part of the 944 cable. Its pretty straight fordward when you have it all on the workbench

Re: Throttle Cable
If this is the cable in the shopping list of the conversion manual I had to cut off one end and insert it through the end that attached to the Porsche pedal and re-crimp. The end that attaches to the GM TB is plug-n-play.

Cable pn 12554852 NLA?
Hi guys,
I ended up buying the Lokar 36" cable. Called around to all the local parts houses I use (NAPA, Autozone, Baxter), and even a GM dealer parts dept. and nobody could find that Camaro throttle cable The dealer lists it as NLA and not in stock anywhere nationally. Also, GMPartsdirect.com had listed that part a few weeks ago when I looked, but the website catalog is no longer available.
So, I decided to use the Lokar 36" cable.
Thanks,
Dan.

Re: Throttle Cable
Dan,
Apparently you can still order from there (or I planned on doing so soon) as long as you had the part numbers. You can still plug the same part number in this thread into their site and it will pull up the cable.
