For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Hi everyone I have just joined and am hoping to gain as much advice as possible! I just bought a 1994 968 coupe and a salvage 2008 Corvette z06 ,I'm just arranging shipping of them to me in Spain then the fun can start. I want to try and ship them with as many conversion parts as possible to make the build easier and save on time and postage costs .l want to use as much as possible from the Corvette and also want the 968 to have A/C and power steering, I have been reading and there are many different builds out there for the 944/968 but there is still questions I need help with and by chance found 944hybrids ,so Can you guys help me ? how much of the Corvette can I use ? It would be great with the corvette 6speed gearbox and trans axle, please all ideas and advice very welcome, I forgot to say ,its an everyday driver ,thank you all for taking time to read this ,

To use the corvette transaxle requires a large amount of cutting and fabricating a new tunnel/floorpan. Most of us don't do it, there are a few here who have. Look up the threads here to see the pictures of the work they've done to get a better idea of the scope of the project, as it's quite substantial.

You can retain AC with custom lines and power steering with the Turn 1 power steering pump.

Basically you'll be using the motor and accessories but it's best to use the accessory bracket from an older Camaro/Firebird, they fit better. You also need to decide what to do with brakes as you won't be able to fit the factory vacuum booster.

Do some searching here, all the answers are on the forum.

Thanks doc , I think I will most likely stick with the porsche trans axle and gearbox ,I would like to use the Corvette brakes and have seen a guy on here that makes the bracket to take them ,Kent at Texas performance has been helpful with the conversion parts that they offer

That's not what I'm talking about brakes wise. You need to figure out what you want to do for a booster and master cylinder combo. You can't use the factory booster...
